This diet is called the Dukan diet, which is now as famous as the expected wedding to be.
This weight loss diet was founded in France by Dr. Pierre Dukan who was a French nutritionist. The diet was introduced 10 years ago and now became so popular due to the big royal affair of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding. The diet is based on the principle of establishing a pleasurable eating habit with no limitations on consuming real food.
According to food experts, it is a French version of the Atkins diet which is allegedly considered dangerous. However, because of Kate Middleton’s use of this diet, it became famous in Europe and United States.
The Dukan diet basically has four stages. It begins with a low protein diet and liberal water intake, then an additional meal of vegetables, followed by a slightly increase in carbohydrates, and lastly the maintenance stage where you will no longer have restrictions in protein-rich foods and vegetables.
What makes this diet quite dangerous is the very light use of exercise and restrictions of fruits and vegetables. The physical workouts should only be 20 minutes with no elevators allowed. The most ideal diet should be consists of a high-fiber carbohydrate meal, lean proteins, vegetables, fruits and small amount of healthy fat. It is the healthiest technique of feeling and looking your best.
This is the very reason why the France’s National Agency for Food, Environmental and Work Health Safety as an unbalanced and potentially risky diet. It is even known to be one of the worst diets for this year. Critics say that it removes the healthy food sources that lead to a possible health deficiency.
The point of choosing a weight loss diet should not be based on who uses it. Weight loss is not about that. No matter how royal and rich a person who uses that diet regimen, it will not matter if it does not suit your body. You have to choose something not out of popularity but out of its safety, suitability and your capability.
