The blueberry coffee cake at Café R+D is not a complete breakfast. Yes, it comes in a bowl, and yes, it contains fruit, but the resemblance to a morning meal stops there. This sugar-topped, walnut-crusted behemoth is a food coma waiting to happen. It’s dessert, plain and simple. And there ain’t a thing wrong with that.
